Death Note Anime

Death Note Anime

Yes, for those who still don't know, Death Note anime started airing in Japan last October 3, 2006. So far, there are 3 episodes out. And they're well made. Of course the story is more detailed in the manga, as is the usual case, but you won't be disappointed with Death Note anime. I read that there will be a total of 37 episodes, so there's more to come!!!

Both the OP and ED songs are done by Nightmare, a gothic rock group. I've included both of these songs on this month's downloads list. But its only a PV Rip.

Movie 1 of Death Note had been out for some time now, and Movie 2 will be released soon. Oh yeah, these two are Live versions. I haven't watched any yet though. Movie 1 is available at You Tube but its raw. I can't read nihonggo..... :(

On the other side, 25 of my wallpapers were deleted from my gallery in deviantart!!! WAAAH!!! Note says i violated the copyright of the image. It was so sudden. I had no warnings, and to think ive been uploading those walls (like other people) since last year. And they haven't been deleting them before. Just now. That means i can't make and post anime wallpapers anymore. Co'z i have to ask permission from the creator first before i use any of their artbook images. Which getting an approval from them would be pretty bleak, since most of the artist don't go online much. Sigh.

I just recovered from my fever of two days. It all started because of a cold. Achoo!!! Xmas season is over. Time for the new year. And as always, classes has started. My afternoon class last Saturday was cancelled. Only about one-fourth of the class attended, which made our professor mad. He cancelled the class and gave a minus 10 points on the prelim exam, of all the absentees. Good thing i was there. :D

I will be rotating my mp3 files this january 14. :D

Recently, another count was added under the "mysterious" category, courtesy of my new roommate Tin. I had been hearing a lot that I look mysterious, like the person you're currently looking at is just the tip of the iceberg. That there's more to me than meets the eye. Maybe I am, maybe am not. AND THEN GOD CREATED MAN

Chrno Crusade struck a cord inside me. The concept of the anime stirred my mind that led me to thinking about the creation of life.

If all our lives are already predestined, why do we still struggle against fate? If we are fated towards a dark future, why is there still a need for us to live, when all that faces us are misery? Could we battle against the will of destiny?

Why are we alive? Is it to live out our fate? Is it to fulfill the scripted details of our life? Are we alive for our own sake or for His entertainment? Why is it that He allows evil to roam the world and destroy His creations, when He has the power to stop it? Do you sometimes feel that you’re like a Sim living inside a computer game? Your life dictated by your creator?

Do you sometimes feel that all your prayers and wishes are left unanswered? That you are left alone during the times that you need Him the most?

In the anime, it was said that during the time when devils were banished from heaven, they made a covenant with God. Man being created in the image of God was given wisdom. Wisdom that would one day destroy them. To prevent this from happening, the devils had an agreement with God. They will give guidance

to man.

Guidance? Coming from a devil? Sounds scary ne? It was portrayed that, devils are indispensable to heaven. That’s right. Heaven needs them. For without them, man wouldn’t know fear.

Imagine man, created in the likeness of God and was blessed with wisdom. Add to that the malicious inherent traits of humankind. Take greed as an example. Greed plus wisdom would lead man to become ambitious, wanting one day to become God. Hungry for power, with an unappeasable craving to become the Creator. Fearing nothing, fearing no one, not even Him.

What would happen to the world then and to humankind? That’s where the devils will come in. Sly, evil, traitorous, thirsty for human soul, they will serve as our guide to heaven’s door. Perplexing.

Wreaking havoc to the world and inciting fear on mankind. Leading us to learn how to pray and ask for God’s mercy. Praying for forgiveness and salvation as we clutch tightly on our prayer books, reciting our Hail Mary’s.

With the devils’ aid, fear was created. Man now begins to worship God and fear His all mighty power. Restraining one’s self from sinning for fear of His punishments. Focusing all of our energy into performing good deeds, to deliver us from evil.

But sometimes, not everything will go accordingly. Even as believers we still experience suffering. We wonder why is it that good people suffer while the rotten ones are enjoying life to the fullest. We begin to doubt God. Is He there? When will He help us? Our faith begins to sway and we turn to evil.

With so many questions in life, when will we be able to know the answers? You begin to question your existence. And you are now wondering why you are even bothering to read my journal.

P.S. For those who are suffering right now and are starting to stray from their faith, fear not. All things will come to an end. Remember, God won’t give you problems that He knows you won’t be able to handle. We may feel abandoned at times but that is when He is testing us. Testing the profundity of our faith, in Him. We may have a lot of questions left unanswered. We might not be able to fully comprehend the complexities of life, but what the heck, we’re alive and that’s what matters.

My laptop was delivered this afternoon. I pulled it out from the service center to get a second opinion since i consider 20t to be expensive. Went to ASUS World in Megamall. Turned out that the service center i pulled my laptop from was the same main service center of that the one in Megamall. Kuso.

I got really irritated when i received my laptop. The screen got scratched, a part on the panel got broken, and the screen wasn't screwed well, and is a bit loose. I had the technician on ASUS World fix it for me. And i agreed on leaving it there for two days to have it double-checked. Co'z he said that he encountered a similar case before and instead of the lcd, it was the motherboard which was defective. Tomorrow, another laptop, the same model as mine will be delivered on their shop, so he said that he'll use that unit's motherboard to check mine. Graaah. It will take a month to order for a replacement LCD. My parents and i decided to buy a slim desktop monitor instead. Its not convenient, but hell its cheaper.

What.A.Day!

Woah! This seems to be one of those days. Jam, on her way to my apartment lost her cellphone in the tricycle, and we only noticed that it was missing after 3 hours. We searched everywhere but we couldn't find it and deduced that it MUST have certainly been left behind when we got out of the tricycle. So off to the tricycle station (?) we go.

First, we spoke with the dispatcher. He asked us about the "body number" of the tricycle and on what the driver looks like. Since neither of us, can remember, he then started his repeated and endless sermon about "always checking the body number" and stuff. We then started asking every driver that's on line. They all asked us about the same "body number" stuff. And we gave the same answer as before. And lo and behold! Seeming like the dispatcher's clones, they started ranting about "always checking the body number", yadda yadda yadda. Which is now starting to irk me. So i started answering back by telling them that "we do check the body number everytime we get on, but it seems that we neglected to check it today". Jam, seemed to remember that our "driver" was wearing cap and a jacket. And after sometime, someone with that description arrived. We weren't able to ask him the first time co'z after unloading his passengers, he immediately turned back. Darn, pasada agad. So the next time we saw him, we didn't waste more time and went on to interrogate him. After some chit-chat, it seemed that it wasn't him after all.Jam started to get nervous. I told her that, how about we buy a second hand unit to replace the one you lost so that your parents won't get angry. Seeing that its a feasible idea, we then started hunting for a similar phone.

First stop, Fairview Center Mall. amount: 1,200 with sim/ 1,100 without. Too expensive.

Next stop, Greenhills (Shoppesville). But before we went on with our phone hunting, we "accidentally" passed by "Cool Stuff". The anime store where i bought my Sanzo figurine before. And sugoi, sugoi, sugoi!!!!. Naruto galore......rrrraaawwwrrrr.. I ended up buying 2 Sasuke badges, a naruto chain watch, and 4 keychains (chibi-naruto, chibi-sasuke, chibi-itachi and chibi-kakashi). Damn i had my dibs on the black Full Metal Alchemist t-shirt but the only size left was large, where, err, it is too large. So we went off with our cellphone hunting once again.

Mother of all cellphones!!!! Andami!!!! Sa dami ng cellphones na binebenta, naka 4 stalls na kami, WALA PA RIN KAMING MAKITA!!!! WAAAAAHHH!!!! This is even more difficult than interviewing those drivers a while back. It felt like where on a race or something, looking for and "ANCIENT RELIC" *he he he*

After two more stalls....

Jam: "Ayun!" *points at a cellphone*
Chi: "Uhm, miss, magkano to?"
Miss: "Alin?"
Chi: "5110i"
Miss: *stares at us like we're some morons from outer space* "800"
Chi: "Ah ok. Thanks"

We went on with the next stalls. After about 10-11 stalls and more weird stares.....

Jam: "Ayun, 5110i" [uy excited!]
Chi: "Tanong mo kung magkano"
Jam: "Miss magkano 5110i?"
Miss: *seemed to have heared nothing*
Jam: "Miss" *points at the phone* "Magkano yun?"
Miss: *recovering from her trance* "Ah yan, 600"
Chi: "Ah okay, thanks. Balik na lang kami"

Tralalala.........after more stalls..and more weird stares...*Geez! Can't they just quit? We're looking for a particular unit and are not interested in some fancy-smancy cellphone*...and yes. more weird (which mountain did you come down from) stares......

Chi: "Mukhang yun na yung lowest"
Jam: "Oo nga eh"
Chi: "Tara balikan na natin. Naalala mo pa ba kung saan?"
Jam: "Oo, tara. Baka maunahan pa tayo ng iba" [ooh...competition..]So we went back to the one offering the phone for 600.

On the way back i kept teasing Jam about her ancient phone. That we went to the wrong place. We should have gone to the National Museum where they keep relics. Hehehe.

On the museum, ehem, i mean stall...

Jam: "Miss yung 511oi"
Miss: "Kukunin nyo na?" *woah, she remembered us. well who wouldn't when we were asking for an ancient unit.hehehe*

Jam tested it. It seemed fine, so we decided to pay for it. I said now, the only thing left, would be to buy a housing like the one lost. She asked the lady about some housings and said they have some. We were looking for a silver housing. Their's didn't quite looked like the old one so we declined. I almost started walking away from the stall, when i remembered..."sheff, ako nga pala magbabayad". Ha ha ha. Brain freeze.

After that we decided to part ways temporarily. Jam will look for a housing, while i go have my unit repaired. "Not charging" thing. I had mine repaired, but she wasn't able to find a similar housing. After having a snack we decided to go home since its starting to get dark.

On our way to the terminal, a flyer was handed over, and since im a flyer nut sometimes i took it. The images on that flyer made me stop.

"CSCENTRAL". Kenshin was there. Some Cowboy Bebops, Transformers, etc.

"Its a treasure hunt" it said.

"We have anime, comics, toys and stuff" it said.

Well...nuff said. We went whooshing to the store and wow! P50/manga!!! I had to ask the man over and over again if i heard him right, and yes its P50/manga. Because its second hand and its in japanese. But nonetheless!!!! Its still P50!!!!. A girl handed their vcd and dvd list to me.

Chi: "Eh? What's this?" *thumbs over the list and puts it away*. "I want the manga!"Ehehehe.

But it turned out i wasn't interested in any of the titles and ended up buying a Saiyuki Reload Gunlock DVD. And, darn, i didn't hear him right this time. Maybe the manga price was still clouding my mind and i thought that each DVD only costs P50. It turned out it was P250/disc, but i bought it anyway. Its rare! Hehehe. I ended up handing him over my P500. With an emptly wallet and a full grin, we decided, this time for sure, to head home.

Jam took the van going to megamall, and she'll ride the MRT going home. I decided not to go with her and made my way to the line for the Fairview route. I waited, and waited, and waited, and waited....Holy CRAP!!! It's been an hour and only one van came!!! Kuso! After whacking myself for not taking the van to Megamall instead, a white Toyota Revo rolled in. And parked in front of the sign, that said Fairview. OMG!!! Finally!!! It's here! Seems like the Commonwealth route is not pasable at that time due to rallies. Damn those rallies. And so, the driver decided to take the Sauyo route, which plays to my advantage co'z i won't have to take another ride to get home anymore.

Haaay...WHAT. A. DAY!!!!

ANTS!!! ANTS EVERYWHERE!!! CRAP! And unfortunately they found their way inside my laptop, and destroyed a part, i still don't know which one. I was using it one night then the next day, the screen became dark, and i could barely see the images on my screen. Man, have to leave it for one week in Makati for repairs.

I accompanied my friend to Gilmore last Saturday. On my way home, it started raining. I was riding on an ordinary bus. Since the rain is starting to get stronger, the passengers decided to close the window. I didn't notice it when i got on that the windows instead of glass were made of wood. Sliding type that you have to pull up and latch on the metal frame above it. I felt like im in a coffin getting nailed in. When we were about a kilometer away from my drop point, the rain stopped. I forgot to bring an umbrella so i was glad that i won't get wet when i go down. But alas, only about 6 seconds had passed when, *drop drop drop*, it started raining again. The bus dropped me off, thankfully, on a waiting shed, and i waited there for almost an hour. And even picked up a 5 peso coin on the ground as a bonus. When the rain had been reduced to pitter-patters, i decided to just my run my way to the other side of the street. Man.

I was hoping for a cancellation of our exams since there was this declared "holiday" thing, but i guess our dean remains superior overall. This morning it was sweltering hot, now its raining, ch, the world is ending.
